What are my expectations?

During the first thirty days of membership, you will be required to attend at least five support group meetings, meet with your sponsor (at least weekly), participate in household chores, attend daily meditation, and participate in a fitness program a minimum of five days per week. After thirty days, you must attend a minimum three meetings per week, but all other expectations remain unchanged.

You will also have random drug and alcohol tests.  These are unscheduled and are of no cost to the resident.

All men in the house are expected to participate in a fitness program five days a week.  In addition to fitness, all men are encouraged to establish a healthy eating pattern, maintain quality sleep each evening, and participate in the mindfulness program we have developed.

In addition to these, developing relationships with each member of the house is critical.  Every individual in this house lives with a substance use disorder.  We are not alone and have learned through frequent interaction with other members, sharing our stories, and actively participating in the recovery community we foster bonds to aid in our recovery.

We have two living areas, an office area, large dining space, and kitchen for us to have conversations with others to prevent isolation.  Many sought isolation during active addiction, and having large spaces allows everyone to get to know each resident. Also, our house is geared toward a smaller population to develop relationships.  We see each other daily during morning meditation. Everyone, regardless of time in residence, have a curfew of 11:00pm.  After an introductory period, members are no longer required to sign in or sign out.

Parking for individuals with valid driver’s license is provided on street level.
